Speedboat Loses To Rocks And Crowd Goes Wild
NY Post- After the driver miscalculated a turn during a race on the Salmon River in Idaho, a speedboat named Maniac 313 crashed into a pile of rocks. The boat landed upside down, seemingly trapping the passengers underwater. Luckily, they both survived, escaping without any reported injuries.
Well that’s terrifying. Are they driving a boat made of parchment paper? Rock beats paper when you’re boating, morons. How about a fucking centerboard or something to weigh that kite down? I’m a bit of a nautical novice but I’m pretty sure motorboats shouldn’t be able to cut like Adrian Peterson.
Also, uhm, rapids? You took a wrong turn guys. You’re bombing around a nice calm lake and one of you made a terrible navigational error. Or maybe it was both guys. I’ve never worn a helmet to go boating so something tells me these guys were looking for trouble.
Lastly, love that crowd reaction. “Go! Oh, yeaaahhhhhh!!! I don’t like that, don’t like that at all.” Lady, you love it. You’re applauding and these guys are hanging on to their capsized motorboat, inches from a possibly-spinning propeller. You came for a crash and you got exactly that.
Rapids can be navigated by X-games kayakers and Native Americans in canoes. And bears eating salmon. Keep motorboats out of it.
